The Eastern Middlesex County Second District Court features yellow brick walls with cast stone trim and a central pavilion with glass brick windows.

Built between 1938 and 1940, the courthouse represents the first major expansion of the Eastern District court system beyond East Cambridge.

The building exhibits Art Deco design elements through its geometric shapes, ram's head lamps, and mosaic tile walls in the lobby.

Located at 38 Linden Street, the courthouse maintains regular operating hours for legal proceedings and administrative services.

The structure includes a distinctive pyramidal roof with a skylight that illuminates the main lobby through three tall glass brick bays.
