Exorcist steps, Stone steps in Georgetown, United States.
The steep concrete staircase connects M Street with Prospect Street, descending 75 steps beside the Georgetown Car Barn in Washington D.C.
Built in 1895 by George Killeen, these steps served as a public right of way during the construction of the Capital Traction Company facility.
The steps gained international recognition through their appearance in the 1973 film The Exorcist, marking the climactic scene of Father Karras's death.
Visitors walking the stairs can access both the Georgetown district's upper streets and the commercial area along M Street Northwest.
The District of Columbia Historic Preservation Review Board designated these steps as the first official landmark of 2019 in Washington D.C.
