Fenwick Island State Park

Fenwick Island State Park extends across three miles of coastline, featuring undeveloped beach areas, protected dunes, and diverse coastal ecosystems along the Atlantic Ocean.

The park land previously hosted a life-saving station in the late 1800s and maintained a fire control tower during World War II for coastal defense operations.

Delaware residents and visitors gather at this coastal park throughout summer for traditional activities such as swimming, surfing, and participating in environmental education programs.

The park provides beach wheelchairs at no cost, maintains designated areas for surf fishing vehicles, and operates a bathhouse with changing facilities and a snack bar.

The marine environment includes both ocean beaches and access to Little Assawoman Bay, creating opportunities for diverse water activities in different aquatic settings.
