Bình Tân, Urban district in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Bình Tân is an urban district in the northwestern section of Ho Chi Minh City covering around 52 square kilometers. The area combines residential neighborhoods, markets, and business zones spread across multiple wards.
The district was established in 2003 when it separated from Bình Chánh, taking its name from three wards: Bình Hưng Hoà, Bình Trị Đông, and Tân Tạo. This creation was part of a broader administrative reorganization of the city.
The district is home to Kinh, Chinese, Khmer, Cham, and Muong communities whose shops, markets, and festivals shape the streetscape. This diversity appears in local food, craftwork, and religious sites that weave through daily life.
Mien Tay Bus Station provides direct bus connections to the Mekong Delta region via Highway 1A. The station's location makes it easy to leave the area or explore the region beyond.
Hoa Lam-Shangri-La Healthcare Techpark is the first medical complex of its kind in the city and offers modern hospital facilities. Its opening marked a turning point in medical infrastructure for the western side of the metropolis.
