Kon Ka Kinh National Park

The park stretches across 47,000 hectares of mountainous terrain, reaching elevations between 570 and 1,748 meters in central Vietnam's highlands.

The Vietnamese government established Kon Ka Kinh National Park in 2002, transforming a former nature reserve into a protected area for wildlife conservation.

Several ethnic minority groups maintain traditional settlements near the park boundaries, preserving their customs and agricultural practices through generations.

Access to the park requires coordination with local authorities, and visitors should arrange transportation from Pleiku city, located 50 kilometers southwest.

Scientists discovered a new bird species in 2001, the Chestnut-eared Laughingthrush, which exists exclusively within the park's forest boundaries.
