Villa Wyckerveld, Municipal monument villa in Wyckerpoort district, Maastricht, Netherlands.
Villa Wyckerveld stands as a three-story villa built from grey hardstone with decorative elements including hardstone bands, ornamental panels, and a prominent tower entrance topped by a slate roof.
Constructed between 1879 and 1880 by architect Julien Rémont for industrialist Eugène Regout, the villa marked one of the first buildings in the eastern expansion of Maastricht beyond the medieval city walls.
The villa served as a household school for girls from 1911 to 1992 after the municipality purchased it, transforming from a private residence into an important educational institution for domestic arts and social skills.
Currently functioning as a residential apartment complex since 1994, the building maintains its protected monument status while providing modern housing with underground parking facilities and contemporary amenities.
The villa retains its original wrought-iron entrance gate with hardstone pillars bearing the inscriptions 'Eugene Regout' and 'Wyckerveld', marking the entrance to what remains of the original English-style landscape park.
