Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-van-Lourdeskerk

The Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-van-Lourdeskerk is a Catholic church in Maastricht built in a cross shape with a tower rising above the entrance. The structure includes a main nave, a separate Marian chapel, and walls constructed from local stone materials.

The church was completed between 1936 and 1937 under architect Frits Peutz's direction. It replaced a temporary chapel built in 1924 that had served the newly formed parish.

The interior displays stained glass windows made by local artists that fill the space with colored light during the day. Wooden vaults and dark stone floors create a calm feeling as you walk through.

The Marian chapel is open during morning hours and offers visitors access to view the interior details and decorations. The main entrance is located at a major street intersection, making it easy to find.

Inside stands an organ that was moved here from another chapel decades ago and continues to produce music during services. This instrument adds a layer of sound and tradition to the religious experience within the building.
