Maihaugen, Open-air museum in Lillehammer, Norway.
This museum encompasses over 200 historical structures across three distinct sections: rural area, town district, and residential neighborhood spanning different time periods.
Established in 1904 from Anders Sandvig's private collection of regional farm buildings and artifacts from the Gudbrandsdal area of Norway.
The museum features daily demonstrations of traditional Norwegian crafts, farming practices, and historical reenactments during summer months.
Visitors receive access to both Maihaugen's exhibitions and the Norwegian Olympic Museum located within the main visitor center complex.
The residential section includes Queen Sonja's childhood home from the 1930s, complete with original furnishings and personal belongings.
