Feigefossen, Waterfall in Lusterfjord, Norway
Feigefossen is a waterfall along Lusterfjord in Norway that drops 218 meters in a single free fall, making it one of the tallest in the country. The water plunges over steep rock faces directly into the fjord waters below.
This waterfall became a known destination only after the early 2000s and has since become an established visitor site along the fjord roads. Local people knew of it long before tourists arrived.
Local inhabitants named the waterfall Feigefossen, connecting it to natural phenomena during heavy rainfall periods, which led to its alternative name 'Omen Falls'.
Access starts from road 331, where a parking area marks the beginning of a walking path. The round trip takes roughly one to one and a half hours.
During snowmelt and after heavy rains, the waterfall splits into multiple streams that create different patterns on the mountainside. This changeability makes the site visually different at each season.
