Bjølsenparken

Bjølsenparken is a public park in the Bjølsen district with a linden alley running along its elevated sections and a hill offering views across the grounds. On the eastern side sits a community garden where residents can grow vegetables and flowers in individual plots.

The park was established in the early 20th century when the city purchased the land from a historic farm. This conversion from agricultural ground to public space shaped how the neighborhood developed.

The music pavilion serves as a gathering place for performances and local events that draw people together throughout the year.

The grounds are easy to reach and offer various areas for walking and sitting. When you arrive, the southern side is a good starting point to explore the paths and get your bearings.

The hill called Ormehaugen provides not just views but also carries a name rooted in local tradition. This elevated point has become a defining feature where many visitors naturally pause and take in the surroundings.
