Tsho Rolpa, Glacial lake in Nepal
Tsho Rolpa is one of the biggest glacial lakes in Nepal.
The lake has been growing rapidly since the 1950s due to glacial melting.
It is situated in the Rolwaling Valley, a region with significant Sherpa cultural influences.
Visitors require special permits as it is located inside Gaurishankar Conservation Area.
Tsho Rolpa is at risk of a catastrophic outburst flood that could threaten downstream communities.
