Anta do Tapadão, Neolithic dolmen near Aldeia da Mata, Portugal.

The megalithic structure consists of seven granite orthostats forming a chamber with a massive covering stone measuring over three meters in width.

Built more than 5000 years ago, this dolmen received National Monument status in 1910, marking its importance in Portuguese prehistoric architecture.

Archaeological excavations at the site revealed ceramic vessels, arrows, knives, axes, feminine ornaments, human bones, and animal remains from ancient burial practices.

Located two kilometers from Aldeia da Mata village in Crato municipality, the dolmen stands in an accessible area of Portalegre district.

The monument features a ten-meter-long corridor leading to the main chamber, which contains one of the largest covering stones found in Portuguese dolmens.
