Gare do Oriente, Railway station in Parque das Nações, Portugal.

The steel and glass complex spans five levels, incorporating a train terminal, bus station, and metro station with connections across Portugal and Europe.

Santiago Calatrava designed this transportation hub for the 1998 World Exposition, marking a significant development in Lisbon's eastern waterfront district.

The station structure merges Gothic architectural elements with contemporary design principles, featuring a canopy that resembles the ribbed vaults of Portuguese monasteries.

The station maintains direct rail services to Porto, Faro, and Madrid, with the ticket office operating from early morning until late evening.

The building's white latticed roof structure rises 25 meters above the platforms, creating patterns of light and shadow throughout the terminal spaces.
