Alvega is a rural locality in the municipality of Abrantes within the Santarém District, spreading across rolling hills with residential areas and agricultural fields. Alvega functioned as an independent civil parish until 2013, when administrative restructuring brought it together with Concavada. This merger created the new combined parish of Alvega e Concavada as part of municipal reorganization.
