Alvito da Beira, Rural village in Proença-a-Nova Municipality, Portugal.

The settlement spans across rolling hills in central Portugal, surrounded by olive groves and pine forests in the Castelo Branco district.

Founded before 1906, Alvito da Beira served as an independent parish until 2013, when it merged with Sobreira Formosa to form a larger administrative unit.

The village celebrates Saint Lawrence on August 10th, Nossa Senhora das Necessidades in late August, and Saint John on June 24th with traditional festivities.

Several river beaches near the village provide swimming and recreation opportunities, with natural pools formed by the Alvito stream.

The area contained ten olive oil mills in 1930, establishing Alvito da Beira as the leading olive oil producer in the Proença-a-Nova municipality.
