The Yermolova Theatre is a drama house in Tverskoy District on Tverskaya Street 5/6 with a sea green facade and white columns. The auditorium offers several tiers with dark red upholstery and a stage with movable scenery elements for different productions.
Graduates of the Maly Theatre studio founded the company in 1925 and named it after actress Maria Yermolova. The building itself originated in the 1830s and served different purposes before becoming a theatre venue.
The theatre carries the name of Russian actress Maria Yermolova and ranks among the important stages for drama literature in Moscow. Visitors experience both productions of classic authors and work by young directors, and they can walk through the foyer with columns and historic portraits before the performance begins.
