Avtovo is an underground railway station in Saint Petersburg located at a depth of 12 meters on Prospekt Stachek. The station features 46 columns, of which 30 are made of marble and 16 are crafted from glass sourced from the Lomonosov factory.
Construction began in 1940 but was interrupted during World War II when the construction site flooded. Work resumed in 1946 and was eventually completed.
The station displays a mosaic depicting the defense during the blockade, serving as a visual reminder of this moment in the city's history. Visitors notice this artistic memorial while passing through.
