Aginsky Datsan

Aginsky Datsan is a Buddhist monastery in Aginskoye featuring traditional Tibetan architecture marked by gilded roofs, bell towers, and prayer wheels. The complex spreads across multiple buildings that together form a religious compound.

The monastery arose during Buddhism's spread into Siberia and became a major educational center for Buddhist teachings in the Transbaikal region. Its founding shaped the religious history of this remote area and continues to influence it today.
