Парк імені Воровського

Vorovsky Park sprawls across about 8 hectares of green space near Voykovskaya metro station, with mature birches, limes, and maples throughout. The grounds feature open lawns and shaded tree-lined paths that create different walking environments.

The grounds began in 1898 as part of a medical facility for alcoholics before transforming into a sanatorium after 1917. This shift marked a change in how the space was understood and used by the broader community.

A white granite monument depicting a bird-woman with a lowered head stands in the central area, serving as a focal point for visitors. The sculpture reflects the park's role as a place where the community gathers to remember.

The park offers basketball courts, a skate park, exercise equipment, and children's playgrounds accessible year-round. During winter months, an ice skating rink opens, making the space active across different seasons.

The former medical facility building now serves as an educational center for children and young people, showing how the site has adapted over time. This repurposed structure connects the park's past medical role to its current community function.
