Преображенский храм, Orthodox church in Dyatkovo, Russia
The Transfiguration Church is a stone-built religious structure in Dyatkovo with a prominent bell tower designed according to Greek architectural principles and traditional Orthodox aesthetics. The building displays a clear and dignified form characteristic of Russian Orthodox architecture.
The original structure was established in 1807 and housed glass iconostases made by the Saint Petersburg Academy of Arts until it was destroyed in 1929. The present building was reconstructed in 1990 to serve the religious needs of the community.
The church serves the Orthodox community as a gathering place for worship and prayer during major celebrations and religious occasions. Visitors can observe how local believers participate in services and maintain their faith traditions here.
The church welcomes visitors during weekend services and religious holidays at 100 Krasnaya Roza Street. Guests can attend or observe baptisms, weddings, and memorial services with appropriate respect for the sacred space.
The original building was known for glass candlesticks specially made in the local glass factories. One surviving example of these artisanal creations is now displayed at the Dyatkovo Crystal Museum.
