Monument to City of Military Glory

The Monument to City of Military Glory is an 8-meter tall stele surrounded by ten cannons positioned at its base. The structure combines classical memorial design with military symbols that mark this place's significance to regional history.

The monument honors the brave deeds of Veliky Novgorod citizens during World War II, when the city faced significant hardship and showed strong resistance. The city received the title of Military Glory in 2009 as recognition of this historical contribution.

The monument base incorporates 128 replica cannon barrels cast by Novolipetsk Steel and arranged in a circular pattern around the memorial. This detailed metalwork was specially created for this commemorative site and shows how modern industrial techniques contributed to the monument's design.
