The Church of the Dormition stands at the northern section of Ivangorod Fortress, featuring stone walls and traditional Orthodox architectural elements.

Built in 1558, the church underwent multiple transformations, including a period as a Lutheran garrison church during Swedish control before returning to Orthodox worship.

The church holds regular Orthodox services and contains the preserved icon of Our Lady of Hodegetria that survived the Narva fire of 1558.

Visitors can access the church through the main entrance of Ivangorod Fortress, located at coordinates 59.374875 latitude and 28.206559 longitude.

Between 1988 and 1991, the building served as a concert hall before being returned to the Russian Orthodox Church for religious services.
