Stockholm Synagogue, Moorish Revival synagogue in Norrmalm, Sweden.
The Stockholm Synagogue features four towers with staircases and rectangular forms that reference the ancient Temple of Jerusalem's architectural elements.
Fredrik Wilhelm Scholander completed this religious structure in 1870, replacing an earlier synagogue that had served the community from 1790.
The Jewish Community Library beneath the synagogue contains texts in multiple languages and includes Rabbi Marcus Ehrenpreis's personal collection from 1914-1951.
The synagogue requires visitors to register at least 72 hours before their planned visit due to security measures and accommodates 900 people.
Hebrew inscriptions from scripture decorate the facades, including references to peace from Isaiah on the rear section of the building.
