Nynäs Castle, Castle in Tystberga, Sweden
Nynäs is a castle on an estate with gardens, a nature reserve, and buildings in traditional Swedish style from the 17th century. The grounds also include an 1907 Orangery building that houses a restaurant and walking paths through the natural areas.
The estate was first mentioned in 1328 when knight Peder Ragvaldson lived there. Over the centuries, the property developed into an important aristocratic residence in Sweden.
The castle displays rooms from different periods that reveal how Swedish aristocratic families lived from the 17th to early 20th century. Visitors can see the original furnishings and objects that were part of daily life.
Visitors can take guided tours of the castle and use the restaurant in the Orangery building. Marked walking paths lead through the nature areas and allow exploration of the whole property.
The Bränneriet, a distillery building constructed in 1801, was converted from a farm facility into accommodation with lake views. Today the building offers lodging and water-based outdoor activity options.
