Skara Sommarland is a theme park in Skara Municipality, Sweden, featuring water slides, rollercoasters, swimming pools, and rides designed for different age groups. The facility spreads across a large outdoor area with several themed zones and entertainment sections.
The park opened its gates in 1984 as a family leisure facility. Two decades later, it became part of a larger Scandinavian operator group.
This recreational center stands as one of Western Götaland's primary tourist destinations, attracting 300,000 visitors annually from Sweden and neighboring Norway.
Wetsuits can be rented on-site to extend time in the water areas. Several food outlets are distributed across the grounds.
One ride reaches a height of around 130 feet (40 meters) and generates forces exceeding 4 G during its run. The construction combines spins with steep drops along several track sections.
