Axevalla House, Medieval castle ruins in Skara Municipality, Sweden.

The stone fortress measures 52 by 44 meters, with fortifications, ramparts, and moats on a headland near Lake Husesjön.

First documented in 1278, the castle witnessed Magnus Ladulås's imprisonment during a feast hosted by Peter Porse at the location.

The site appears in Erik Dahlbergh's Suecia antiqua et hodierna, a collection of engravings from the 17th century depicting Swedish monuments.

The archaeological site stands along road 49 between Skara and Skövde, requiring a 20-minute walk from the former Armour Museum.

Stone roads leading to the castle were surrounded by swamps, while wooden palisades extended into the lake for additional protection.
