Edsberg, Municipal district in Sollentuna Municipality, Sweden
Edsberg is a municipal district in Sollentuna Municipality located at the end of Edsviken Bay, extending from the Baltic Sea through residential neighborhoods and green spaces north of Stockholm. The district combines housing areas of different types, from a commercial center with shops and library to sprawling villa neighborhoods.
The district developed around Edsberg Manor, a rococo-style residence built in 1760 that served as a private home for many years. Sollentuna Municipality acquired the estate in 1955 and later converted it into an educational institution.
The Royal College of Music operates from Edsberg Manor and offers classical music training to students. This institution shapes the district's cultural life through regular performances and chamber orchestra concerts.
Edsbergs centrum features multiple retail stores, a community library, and a large parking facility for residents and visitors. The waterfront area has walking and cycling paths that are easy to explore on foot or by bike.
The area is divided into distinct neighborhoods, each with its own character: Landsnora with villas, Kvarnskogen with mixed housing, and the summer house areas of Södersättra and Norrsättra. Each quarter maintains its own identity while together forming a larger connected community.
