Sollentuna Municipality

Sollentuna is a municipality about 15 kilometers north of Stockholm covering around 58 square kilometers. The area contains numerous lakes and waterways plus four nature reserves distributed across the landscape.

The area has roots in a 12th-century parish and received its current administrative form in 1971. The arrival of the Uppsala-Stockholm railway in 1866 triggered strong growth.

The Edsvik area displays Swedish heritage through regular exhibitions and local crafts practices. Visitors can see how people preserve their history in everyday spaces here.

The area connects to central Stockholm and Arlanda Airport through five commuter rail stations and an extensive bus network. Visitors find good transport options to move around.

Around 500 new residential units appear here each year, mostly built vertically near rail stations. This growth strategy places new homes close to transport hubs while keeping rural spaces intact.
