Tureberg

Tureberg is the central hub of Sollentuna Municipality, located roughly 13 kilometers north of central Stockholm. The area is home to approximately 19,000 residents and features a major shopping center along with a key transportation junction serving commuter rail routes toward Stockholm and Uppsala.

The railway station at this location opened in 1866 as part of the Stockholm-Uppsala line and retained its original name until being renamed Sollentuna Station in 1968. This change reflected the growing importance of the area as the administrative center for the municipality.

The district functions as an administrative center for northern Stockholm, housing the municipal government offices, courthouse, police station, and detention facilities.

The area has high population density with most amenities and shops within walking distance of one another. Buses and trains run regularly, making it straightforward to move around or reach central Stockholm.

The Tureberg area transformed from a rural setting into a developed suburban district, now maintaining the highest population density in Sollentuna Municipality.
