The burial site contains five mounds, two stone ships, and more than one hundred stone settings spread across an extensive archaeological area.

Dating from 600 to 700 AD, the central mound measures 37 meters in diameter and 6 meters in height, likely serving as a burial place for a regional king.

The site represents one of southern Sweden's oldest assembly locations, where ancient communities gathered for judicial and social proceedings.

Located 19 kilometers south of Växjö, visitors can explore numerous ancient remains and examine the decorative stone placed atop the main mound.

Archaeological investigations revealed Viking Age brooches and Bronze Age weapons, confirming the continuous use of this burial ground through different periods.
