Ostrá

Ostra is a 1264-meter peak in the Velka Fatra range within the Carpathians, featuring steep rocky slopes and open vistas. The summit offers views stretching across neighboring valleys, ridges, and the surrounding mountain landscape.

The Velka Fatra range, including this peak, served as a natural boundary and reference point for settlements that emerged in medieval times. It has long functioned as a navigational landmark for the region.
