Rokoš

Rokoš is a mountain summit in the Nitrické Vrchy range at approximately 1,010 meters elevation, marked by steep slopes and exposed rock outcrops. The peak sits in the Trenčín region and is accessible through several established hiking trails.

During medieval times, the mountain served as a natural boundary between settlements in the Trenčín region. Its position made it an important reference point for the people living in the area.

Hikers in the area gather here regularly and share their knowledge of the routes with newcomers to mountain exploration. The peak has become a meeting point for those interested in walking and climbing.

Several marked hiking trails lead to the summit, with the route from Ješkova Ves being the most popular and moderate in difficulty. Proper footwear and suitable clothing are important since the path includes sections over exposed rock.

The summit is roughly 7.8 kilometers away from the nearest higher peak, giving it a certain isolation in the landscape. This separation makes it a distinctive point with its own presence in the terrain.
