Aouk National Park

Aouk National Park is a protected area in southwestern Chad that contains savannas, wetlands, forests, and grasslands spread across a large territory. The park brings together many different landscape types, each supporting different kinds of wildlife.

The park was founded in 1960 as one of the first protected areas in Chad. This creation marked an important moment for conservation efforts across Africa.
