Ban Khai

Ban Khai is an administrative district in Rayong Province in eastern Thailand. The area contains a mix of rural villages and smaller communities spread across its territory.

The location served as a supply point during 18th century conflicts and gradually developed into an organized administrative region. Over generations, the area maintained its role as a connection between coastal towns and the interior.

The district functions through seven administrative sub-districts, each maintaining its own local customs while operating under the central Thai governance system.

The district offers basic services and local facilities concentrated mainly in small centers. It helps to navigate by main roads since the area is largely rural and provides good access to local markets.

The district contains distinct settlements including Nong Lalok, Nong Taphan, Ta Khan, Bang But, Nong Bua, and Chak Bok, each contributing to the local administration.
