Ratchaburi

The province spans 5,196 square kilometers, featuring flat river plains near Mae Klong River and mountainous regions bordering Myanmar in the west.

During the Dvaravati period, over 1,000 years ago, the region established itself as a central city within the Mon Kingdom, leaving numerous archaeological traces.

The provincial seal displays a royal sword and sandals, reflecting the name Ratchaburi which translates to 'the land of the king' in Thai language.

The railway station functions as the main transportation center, connecting the province with Bangkok and facilitating travel throughout the western region of Thailand.

The Damnoen Saduak district contains an extensive network of canals where vendors paddle boats filled with fresh produce and local goods each morning.
