Oskil Reservoir

Oskil Reservoir is a large artificial lake in Kharkiv Oblast in eastern Ukraine, created by damming a river. The water body stretches across the landscape with multiple shoreline areas that vary in vegetation and accessibility.

Built in 1958, this reservoir reshaped the regional landscape by creating a stable water source for the eastern part of Ukraine. The dam served water management and power generation purposes for decades before recent damage altered its current state.
