Malvern, County seat in Hot Spring County, Arkansas.

Malvern sits at the eastern edge of the Ouachita Mountains with Interstate 30 and U.S. Route 67 running through it, providing main transportation routes. The city is home to multiple brick-making plants and manufacturing facilities that form the backbone of the local economy.

The Cairo and Fulton Railroad founded Malvern in 1870, and the city became the county seat of Hot Spring County in 1878, taking that role from Rockport. This shift in administrative status marked a turning point in the town's growth and development.

The annual Brickfest celebration draws people together with live music, food vendors, and street festivities that reflect the community's pride in its brick-making heritage. The event shows how central this industry has become to local identity and how residents celebrate what their city is known for.

The city is easy to reach by car thanks to Interstate 30, which runs directly through it and makes navigation straightforward. There is plenty of room to explore on foot, especially if you want to see the manufacturing plants or downtown shops.

The area sits on extensive clay deposits that support one of the world's largest concentrations of brick-making plants. This natural resource made Malvern a center for brick production and earned it the title of Brick Capital of the World.
