West Chester Township is an administrative division in Butler County, Ohio, located approximately 18 miles north of Cincinnati and easily accessible via Interstate 75. The township encompasses residential communities, commercial areas, and several public parks that serve the local population.
The township was originally established in 1823 as Union Township, retaining that name for nearly 180 years. In 2000, residents voted to rename it West Chester Township to better reflect the community's identity.
The township maintains several recreational spaces, including Voice of America MetroPark and Keehner Park, where residents participate in outdoor activities throughout the year.
Interstate 75 provides the most convenient access to the township with multiple exits serving the area. Public parks are open year-round for visitors seeking outdoor recreation and green spaces.
The township is home to Voice of America MetroPark, built on the grounds of the former Bethany Relay Station that operated as an international broadcast center from 1943 to 1994. The park now preserves this historical site while providing recreational opportunities for the public.
