Port Huron, Maritime gateway at St. Clair County, United States.

Port Huron is a city at the southern end of Lake Huron in St. Clair County, Michigan. The Blue Water Bridge links the city to Sarnia in the Canadian province of Ontario, marking the eastern terminus of Interstate 94.

The settlement grew following the founding of Fort Gratiot in 1814 and gained city status in 1857. Shipbuilding and timber industries drove early growth, while the lakeside location encouraged trade and movement between the United States and Canada.

The Port Huron Museum system includes multiple locations dedicated to preserving maritime history, regional heritage, and Great Lakes shipping activities.

The city sits along the St. Clair River, where visitors can navigate by following waterfront paths and docks. Public facilities are accessible via main roads that lead into the center and toward border crossings.

The Fort Gratiot Light was built in 1829 and remains the oldest lighthouse in Michigan. It still sends signals across Lake Huron, guiding ships that enter the waterway.
