Menomonie

Menomonie is a city in Dunn County, Wisconsin, positioned along the Red Cedar River and Lake Menomin. The waterways create a natural setting that shapes how the community is laid out.

A French-Canadian fur trader named Jean Baptiste Perrault established a trading post along the Red Cedar River in 1788, marking the beginning of lasting settlement. This outpost grew into what would eventually become the city.
