Littleton, Historical town in Grafton County, New Hampshire
Located at an elevation of 250 meters, Littleton extends along both sides of the Ammonoosuc River with a central business district on Main Street.
The settlement, originally granted as Chiswick in 1764, was later renamed Littleton and officially incorporated in 1784 after Colonel Moses Little.
The Littleton Historical Museum preserves artifacts and documents that detail the transformation from an agricultural settlement into a modern New Hampshire community.
The Littleton Police Department and Fire Department operate from West Main Street, providing emergency services with direct contact numbers for immediate assistance.
The local Water and Light Company at Lafayette Avenue maintains independent utility services, differentiating Littleton from many other New Hampshire municipalities.
