Plains Art Museum

The Plains Art Museum is housed in a converted warehouse and features contemporary art, traditional works by Indigenous peoples, and rotating exhibitions. The multiple gallery spaces allow visitors to encounter different artistic styles and approaches all in one location.

The institution started in 1965 under a different name in a nearby community before moving to its current location. A merger with another local gallery in 1997 helped shape the museum as it operates today.

The museum features artworks by creators from the Northern Plains region and provides space for Indigenous artists to show their work. You can experience how local Native American perspectives shape the artistic conversations happening here.
