Amelia Bloomer House, Historic residence in Seneca Falls, United States.

The house at 53 East Bayard Street exhibits Italianate architectural features with decorative brackets, tall windows, and distinct design elements from the 1850s.

Constructed in 1830 and modified in the 1850s by Latham Bros. Builders & Contractors, this residence earned its National Register status in August 1980.

The house belonged to Amelia Bloomer, a journalist and women's rights advocate who published a newspaper addressing nineteenth-century women's issues.

The property spans 65 acres and underwent modifications in 1945 to accommodate multiple dwellings, changing its original interior configuration.

Local records suggest this residence served as a stop on the Underground Railroad, providing shelter for individuals escaping enslavement.
