Current River Cavern extends 240 feet through Eminence Dolomite rock formations, with an underground stream flowing continuously through its passages.
The cave first welcomed visitors in 1940 under the name Cave Spring Onyx Caverns and underwent a complete survey documentation in 1996.
The cavern functions as an educational center where visitors learn about geological processes, underground water systems, and native cave species.
Tours last 45 minutes, cost USD 15.95 for adults and USD 9.95 for children aged 4-14, with daily operations from 10 AM to 4 PM.
This underground site implements a wireless LED lighting system powered by batteries, making it the first show cave to use this technology.
