Haus Wittgenstein

Haus Wittgenstein is a three-story residential building in modernist style with clean lines and generous room heights. The interior features precise proportions, light ochre walls, and dark stone flooring throughout.

The house was commissioned in 1925, and philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein later took control of the project. Since 1975, the building has served diplomatic and cultural purposes.

The house bears the mark of a philosopher who thought through every aspect, from door handles to heating elements. The rooms feel intentionally designed without appearing cold, instead inviting contemplative observation.

The philosopher raised entire ceiling sections by a few centimeters to achieve exact proportions, an obsession with mathematical harmony. Such adjustments reveal how far he went to implement his vision of perfection.
