Alpenzoo Innsbruck, Mountain wildlife zoo in Innsbruck, Austria.
The zoo extends across 4.1 hectares at an elevation of 727 meters, presenting more than 150 animal species that inhabit the Alpine region.
Founded in 1962 by zoologist Hans Psenner, the Alpenzoo has contributed to the reintroduction of species like bearded vultures into their natural habitat.
The zoo maintains the largest collection of Alpine animals worldwide, including rare species such as wallcreepers, brown bears, and native fish varieties.
The facility operates daily from 9:00 to 18:00 between April and October, and from 9:00 to 17:00 from November through March.
The zoo features specialized terrariums and contains the world's largest freshwater aquarium system dedicated to Alpine fish species.
