Mount Hope is a granite mountain in Victoria rising to about 200 meters with massive stone blocks scattered across a large nature reserve. The formation covers numerous hectares and offers different areas with distinct geological features.
History
The mountain was first climbed by a European explorer in 1836, who discovered two previously unknown plant species there. The area later became the location of a large sheep farm that was significant in early European settlement.

The mountain holds significance for naturalists and geologists, with Ludwig Becker documenting diverse insect populations among the granite formations in 1860.
