Dhaka Nagar Bhaban

Dhaka Nagar Bhaban stands as a fifteen-story municipal building that houses various administrative offices, public amenities, meeting rooms, dining facilities, and community spaces for the city's governance operations.

Construction of this municipal headquarters began in March 1989 and was completed in June 2002, representing a significant period of urban development and administrative capacity building in Bangladesh's capital city.

The building incorporates a prayer hall and public spaces that reflect Bangladesh's cultural values, while its architectural design blends contemporary elements with traditional Bangladeshi features to create a meaningful civic landmark.

The structure features underground parking for approximately 200 vehicles, air conditioning systems, independent power generators, and spans seven acres with one million square feet of operational space for efficient city administration.

Two prominent clocks positioned on the north and south sides of the building serve both practical timekeeping functions and contribute to Dhaka's skyline as distinctive architectural elements.
