Khoiyachora Waterfall, Natural waterfall in Mirsharai Upazila, Bangladesh.
Khoiyachora Waterfall is a natural cascade in the Chittagong region with seven major steps that flow down through hillsides and form multiple isolated water levels. The water tumbles across these natural terraces, creating pools and rapids at each drop.
The waterfall formed roughly 50 years ago due to geological shifts in the terrain and natural spring formations after mountainside movements. These natural processes created the cascading structure visible today.
The Bangladesh government established Khoiyachora Waterfall National Park in 2010, encompassing 293 hectares to protect the natural environment and water resources.
Reaching the site means walking about 4 kilometers from Baratakia market on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway, since vehicles cannot access the upper sections. The terrain becomes hillier and the path more difficult the closer you get.
The site contains nine distinct water cascades that form a complex natural water flow system. Each cascade has its own depth and character, giving the place a varied structure.
