Port de Sóller, Coastal village in western Mallorca, Spain

Port de Sóller is a harbor town on Mallorca's western coast, nestled in a protected bay facing the Tramuntana mountains across the water. The port holds boat berths, white buildings along the shore, and a crescent-shaped coastline that forms a small settled community.

Humans have lived here since very early times, with archaeological evidence showing an initial settlement during the Copper Age. Later, the location became an important port where goods and people arrived to reach the region.

The port has always been a place where ships and commerce define daily life, and this character remains visible today. Visitors immediately notice how water and maritime activity shape everything around them.

The place is best explored on foot, since most paths lead along the water and the layout is easy to navigate. Visitors should take time to walk on both sides of the bay and enjoy the different views of the harbor.

A defensive tower from the early 17th century stands at the water today, showing that this place once needed protection from attacks at sea. This tower was part of a larger system that watched over the entire coast.
